Everyone who knows me knows I like to party. As it is costumary in Brazil, my fiance's parents (who happen to be American) hosted an engagement party in our honor back in Indiana.
Everyone in the family contributed a little. This was my first DIY project starting with the invitations which were designed by a close friend and ending with the table set up (centerpieces, menus, place cards and candles)
The cake was picked out by my future mother in law at a local bakery and it was very tasty.
We didn't know if our plan A of having it outside was going to work because of the weather, but the rain started to pour just after dinner when everyone was ready for desset inside. 20 minutes later we were back out to enjoy the rest of the evening!
